Jack McCann, born on February 9, 1993, in Derry, Northern Ireland, is a distinguished Irish stage actor known for his dynamic performances in musical theatre. Initially accepted to study law at Oxford University, McCann's passion for the performing arts led him to pursue a different path. He honed his craft at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, a decision that marked the beginning of his flourishing career in theatre.

McCann's formative years were influenced by a rich musical environment, with his father, Paul McCann, serving as a former director of the Londonderry Musical Society. His early exposure to music and performance was further nurtured by mentors such as pianist Ruth McGinley and vocal coach Caroline Millar. These experiences laid a strong foundation for his subsequent studies at Trinity Laban, where he refined his skills in acting and musical theatre. ​

• Anything Goes: He showcased his versatility by taking on the role of Billy Crocker in this classic Cole Porter musical, demonstrating his prowess in both acting and singing. ​

• Babes in Arms: In this production, McCann played Valentine LaMar, further cementing his status as a leading man in musical theatre. ​

A lifelong admirer of Judy Garland, McCann's musical influences are deeply rooted in classic musical theatre.
